Colonel Parkers Office Interior saved as Elvis Museum
In Nashville, the Madison home of Elvis Presley’s manager Colonel Parker is stripped down.
It was from this building that Colonel Parker masterminded Elvis’s career from the 1950s and you can see his address PO box 417, Madisonn Tennessee on all of the Colonels’ famous letterheads
Although developers plan to build a car wash on the site, Music historian Brian Oxley has purchased the interior rights
Brian recently restored Johnny Cash’s Farm and when he heard that the Colonels home was to be demolished, he knew he needed to preserve its history. So he is taking apart every piece of the interior, and plans to reassemble it all as a permanent museum.
