Document reveals that Elvis planned to visit the UK

This week Priscilla told the media that Elvis was preparing for a UK tour at the time of his death.

There’s been a lot of hearsay about a possible European tour, but no concrete evidence has ever surfaced. Now an interesting document has just appeared for sale in auction that changes things a little.

life insuranceJulien’s of Beverly Hills are selling a policy prepared for Elvis with the American Eagle Life Insurance Company for $3,660,000.

There are three pages signed by Elvis and the file consists of approximately 140 documents including medical reports, test results and correspondence all dating from 1976 and 1977. In the first document, signed by Elvis in August 1976, Elvis has ticked the form to say he does intend to travel outside the USA and has listed England and Japan as the two countries he will be visiting.

So, that changes things a little. If you want to see this for yourself, look for lot 107 in the upcoming icons and idols auction, which you can find on the Julien’s website. Its expected to reach $10,000, but people are bidding already.

See the document on the Julien’s website >
