Elvis and Tom Jones planned Vegas venture

The singer Tom Jones released his autobiography this month called Over the Top and Back.
The media have been discussing some of the stories in Tom’s book, which of course include a couple about Elvis.

Elvis and Tom Jones first met in the 1960s and became firm friends. They spent time together on holiday and in Las Vegas where they both attended one anothers shows.

And its in Vegas that the latest story is set, as it was revealed this week that Elvis, Tom Jones, Frank Sinatra and other big names all talked about building a hotel together in Las Vegas.

According to Tom Jones, Frank Sinatra approached him with the idea and Elvis was keen on joining in on the venture

Tom Jones also revealed that name of the resort was going to be Tiger Bay, which suited Elvis’ karate name as the Tiger. Tiger Bay is also a place in Cardiff, wales so it also suited Tom Jones too.
